Spoiling my man

There are other things that have happened in the past 24 hours that I'd like to ruminate upon, but right now, I just want to revel in the anticipation.  I have scheduled, all by myself, a wonderful weekend away for my Husband's birthday.  He has asked me to step up to the plate, to be more proactive, to be more forward, to be very very clear about how I feel about him.  I am a gift-giver, a doer.  I am only worth what I can do for you. (I know, I know, I'm working on this one.)  He's a word guy.  We're going to roll it all into one.
Anyway, enough about me.  In January (after nailing Christmas), I decided on and scheduled this weekend getaway for my Husband.  I found the hotel; I scheduled the time at the spa.  I told him to take Friday off. I haven't told him where we are going.  He may have guessed which country we're going to, but I don't believe he's figured out any more than that.  I was going to tell him at dinner tonight (his actual birthday) but he said he imagined that I would tell him in the car on the way.  It's almost time!  I think we're probably going to end up Talking during the drive, but that's okay.  We'll be together, doing something that he wants to do.  No matter what the topic of conversation, it will be great weekend!  (And did I mention, this is the first time we are leaving the boys at home for longer than 16 hours?)
