Spirituality

What if there is none?  What if we're only shadows and dust, dust in the wind?  Oh, well, might as well enjoy what life we've got here.  When we're gone, we won't know we're gone anyway; won't know about it.  All I know is life absent of a physical body, with its ever-increasing aches and pains, has got to be more fun lol.  Anyway, hope y'all are well.

I believe in faith, not religion. I believe that we are reincarnated when we die, either into another person or into an animal or plant. I believe we have all been here many times and that karma follows our souls throughout the reincarnations. I believe it\'s a never ending circle, kind of like in the lion king but not in a childish way. I do not believe in organized manmade religion.

The ever increasing aches and pains of life in a physical body are part of life. They hurt, but they serve a greater purpose to educate, enlighten, and further the maturity of our souls.

Sorry, I sound all mumbo jumbo, just what I believe. Hope you\'re doing well.

Since you wrote this on my birthday and it\'s public, you are stuck with my comments. Tee-hee. Of course there is spirituality. That\'s just a state of mind. Sorry, I\'m a lawyer, lol. If you mean there is there something beyond our physical existence - call it God or something else - I think there is. I find it hardest to believe in \"IT\" when I am around deeply religious self-righteous people. I am convinced \"IT\" exists when I see \"IT\" in the most damaged people that I encounter in my work - the child who has never known anything but the most horrific abuse, a young man in life imprisonment for murder. When I see flashes of the divine in the most ordinary people, I believe it exists! And, yes, I am a hopeless liberal do-gooder optimist.
