"Speedy" update
Well, we were thinking we would be able to get him on a transport from Georgia to Connecticut, stopping in Allentown PA on Saturday AM, but we didn't get him on it in time. Bummer. so now my mom and I are going to drive to North Carolina on Sunday, 4/17, stay overnight at a hotel and come home Monday 4/18. I am driving with my Aunt to Penn State on Saturday, 4/16 which is 4 miles each way and then 8 hrs down to North Carolina on 4/17 and 8 hrs back. But my mom and I can take turns. My mom says this can be our Thelma and Louise adventure. So my mom is very excited but also a little bummed to have to wait another week. I already have a bag full of Milk Bones for him! My mom got the dog bowls out and the place mat.
he is a pure bred Tibetan Terrier. All black with 1 white foot. Curly tail. He is about 30 lbs. Little fluff ball. he is 13 months old. Housebroken. My mom is renaming him Maxwell and is going to call him Max. So from here on in, I am going to call him Maxwell or Max. His owner died on a Thursday and when she did not show up at church on Sunday, they went to her house and found her passed with him sitting next to her! Very sad! they took him to the shelter (now this is eerie!) on 2/23. That is the date that Kahlua died and also the date I got Kona, 2 years later! $250 donation. I am going to pay for him. I had bought my mom a snow blower for Christmas and she didn't want it and I took it back, so she is getting Maxwell for Christmas.
Work is busy. 3 new fires so far this week. food is awful, exercise is good. Oh, I got Wii Zumba. LOVE IT! OMG! I did it for the first time today, 20 minutes. I was sweating big time! What a great work out! now I can do Zumba at home! I lent out my Golds Gym Dance Workout. Hope to get that back soon. But now I can rotate Wii Fit Plus, Just Dance 2, Wii Zumba and Wii Walk It Out. The only downer is that the Golds Gym tells you how many calories you burned and stuff and this doesn't. But this really was a GREAT workout! I do 55 minutes of Zumba every Sunday. 20 minutes of this on easy, and I was like "WOW!" Very intense!
I have my MS 5k walk on Sunday and then go to my brother's house for Lucia's 1st birthday party. She is such a doll baby! Looking forward to the Penn State Blue White football game on 4/16 but dreading all of the driving that weekend. The Penn State Blue White game is free and they also have a carnival. Penn State is in the middle of Pennsylvania in the middle of nowhere and will still draw over 70,000 to a scrimmage! Football games in the Fall draw up to 114,000 fans!
