SPARE TIME, WHAT'S THAT? SAYS I.
Hi Journal,
I've come to talk with you again.
Yes, long time no see.
One of my favourite sayings,
a saying that has got me out of many a troubled spot is -
'A busy man has plenty of spare time'.
Well that's as maybe, yet on the whole, I still think to be true.
Yeah OK right !
Right now, amongst a host of other things to do and, pursuits I follow, interests I have and, things I just want to do, I am compiling my lecture notes, in preparation to a lecture on Parkinson's Condition, that I am to give to medical students, at one of the city's universities.
Feeling duty bound to do this lecture, I am to follow it up two days later with a tutorial question and answer session.
For the lecture, I met up with a lady clinical psychologist who will be doing the lecture with me. We spent a pleasant morning over a coffee, deciding, planning and going over as to who will cover, the seemingly endless issues, of this impostor we call Parkinson's Condition.
So as time is drawing near and with public speaking not being my forte, I am now entering the 'quick panic' stage as I write out my lecture notes and do some rehearsing. This being made the more difficult as my handwriting is almost indecipherable and my speech is deteriorating, now being affected by our common condition.
Anyway, as they say elsewhere, "it will be all right on the night".
And that which I say, "cometh the hour, cometh the man".
