There is no better place to watch a game than in Medellin where the games are frequent and the crowd is enthusiastic. If you have a little more to spend, you can choose to do a paragliding experience over waterfalls! I never tried this, but I heard it was incredible! I’ve added it to my Medellin bucket list for next time.
My favorite place for coffee in the area isCafe Velvet Medellin. Botero is one of the most important artists from Colombia, and you will probably get to see his iconic sculptures and paintings all around Medellin . In 2002, 23 bronze sculptures were donated to the city, and they were placed in this beautiful square called Plaza Botero. Expect to pay more for things in general in Medellin, especially for accommodation. However, when compared to western standards it’s still very cheap.
Fogón de Piedra is an open-air restaurant by the pool where food is cooked with ancestral techniques on a wood stove and served on hot stones. On the other hand, Pepe&Melanzane focuses on Italian cuisine and has a nice environment with natural décor. Last, in the lobby, you will find Barí Bar, the meeting point for networking and sharing with friends, which serves coffee, snacks, and drinks. This tour of both Comuna 13 and the Casa de Memoria is a fabulous visit and well-guided. Medellin isn’t a city of magnificent museums, with an endless list of fantastic things to do. This isn’t the Instagram heaven that Cartagena is. Nor does she have the UNESCO Gastronomic food of Popayan. She has the friendliest and happiest of people.
