South france-more fromage and samba

On Saturday there was a market at the plaza, I was told to wake up early..so I rise around ...noon.  Why the military time, why?  It just a little confusing to me.
The market was full of vendors, nice linen dresses, silk dresses, herb of provance, olive oil, sausages and of course fromage and wine.  I had a hard time choosing gifts I end up buying my daughter a nice silk blouse and a nice tshirt. I took some herb of provance and some lavender-the package was close and we still were able to smell it--so nice!
Then around 3pm we went to a goat farm for a light lunch.  We saw a lot of goats and a pig, but the  farm lady never came to greet us or anything and she only served tomatoes and cauliflowers, raw tomatoes and cauliflowers, one small plate of cheese-there was around 30 of us-and water.  Since the only thing that look good was a watermelon I tried-bad idea, it tasted like....sweat!  Maybe because of all this and the fact that the students had to go back for rehearsals, while they were kind of frustrating among themselves about a tango,"Who plays a tango in jazz festival?"-they wanted to know "I mean is a slow, nice tango and is very deep but is too hard to play"  Alonso asked them if more time will make them feel more comfortable and they almost at unison said:"yes"- "So I will give you more time  then" Alonso replied.  In the middle of all this we noticed everybody was leaving with their rides-including our ride-we were told someone will come back for us.  We waited....and waited....until we figure out nobody was coming for us...been and 1 hour from our destination we had no choice but to ask the farm lady to give us a ride, she very nicely took pity on us.
At night there was going to be a concert, by the students in one of the cafes.  I put on one of the dresses I  packed-a long brown halter dress, paired with a nice pair of earrings and cute sandals-and I got there after almost everyone was seated,  I could feel the crowd eyes on me....but I didn't felt shy about it...on the contrary...hapiness infuse confidence I guess, because I felt very happy.  My only thing was that I couldn't find Ellen...where in the crowd is she?  The band was playing, Alonso was directing, I smiled, he smiled back.  The place where the band was playing was in the middle of the Cafe's patio, so we all had a 360 view of everything.   After the friendly and upbeat double cheek kisses, the photos-people were asking for a photo with me-I don't exactly know why.  I tried to remain seated but then the latin jazz started,  there was a moment were I just couldn't keep seated anymore,  so there I was dancing by myself, not for long because a french guy started dancing with me also...and before I know there is this big crowd of dancers in front of the band!!  The beat, the music was slamming, the mood festive and the crowd kept dancing all the way to a samba-Felicidade by Jobim.  We are doing a samba line, twirlings and swinging our hips and moving our arms in a nice beat-we look good!
And then my friend Ellen taps my shoulder and we kept dancing, who knew Ellen can dance latin music and samba so well!!  I have to say that Muriel, a french lady, can move very well also, she even got a sparkly top hat for the occasion.

By 1:00 am we are still dancing, the crowd, mixed now between french, american, belgians and just some music loving people..In that nice village, in the middle of that cafe....I have to admit, the band just Rock!!!  And we did too.
Tomorrow...about that tango...
