SOUL, MIND, BODY Eastern healing
Friends, have any of you read a book called SOUL, MIND, BODY Healing? It is written by a man who has both an MD degree in Western (conventional) medicine but is an Asian and very familiar with alternative healing.
If my insurance covered it, I would by now be deeply involved with acupuncture, massage and other "non-violent" methods of treating disease. Sadly, our Western system only prescribes invasive and mutilating surgeries and toxic drugs with horrible side effects.
When I contemplated going to gynecologist--where I would only need to undergo painful, invasive tests, biopsies, etc. and probably a D&C, ultimately a hysterectomy, possibly worst scenario chemo--I JUST SAID NO.
I was overeating because of this issue. I just felt it would go against everything I believe in to pursue Western medicine for my bleeding issue.
I dug out my book SOUL, MIND, BODY HEALING and am going to practice the methods of prayer, chanting, etc. outlined in this book. It involves totally "insane" ideas like TALKING TO your body's organs!
Everybody send me prayer and positive energy, please.
Judy

Would like to hear from others interested in alternative medicine, Eastern (Oriental) healing such as acupuncture, chanting, meditation and so forth.
Sorry to hear you\'re going through health problems Judy but I sure agree with you about alternative treatments. I\'m so grateful to you for sharing this information and I\'m going to find a copy of that book. Take care my friend and feel better.

I hope your alternative way of healing works. It\'s so horrible the way we use medication before natural healing. I m hoping you are doing better front his action. Keep us informed on how you are doing. You are a brave soul to go against Western Medicine. The methods you are following have been around longer than all the drugs. Faith is a great healer too. My thoughts and good wishes are with you.
This is to CORRECT an error. The book is called SOUL, MIND, BODY MEDICINE (not healing, but it teaches healing). Written by Zhi Sha in 2006, available on Amazon.
Sorry to be so late in reading and responding to your journal. I do not get alerts on when you post a journal and with this old brain it is hard to remember lots of things.
Interesting about the chanting and prayer. I do hope it works!
actually its been PROVEN that talking to anything makes a difference. so does TOUCH. i think we really are self healing. mind over matter. or zen. at one with the universe. so cool.
suzanne somers says all the same things, she is cool and wrote books on it because western medicine gave her ONE year to live, twenty years ago. she had cancer. she went to mexico and italy and won\'t see american doctors anymore. she is still alive.
freud called it the talking cure. get in your car, take a long drive and yell at the car. get a mirror and talk to the mirror. you don\'t need a therapist. anything that goes in must also go out. (unfortunately voices travel, so a sound proofed room or basement would be necessary. lol. some neighbors are snoops. yuck!)
lawyers, public speakers and actors do orations alllll the time to practice. top notch writers do that as well. singers sing.
