SOTH get together!!
Sunday Sharon (momjmc) and Carole (CaroleP68) met me here at Hampton beach for lunch and a walk. The day was a crystal clear beautiful sunny day. Not to hot not to cool, actually for me its the best having the whole beach to ourselves, Well' Almost to our shelves, mostly locals.. I don't go near that busy part of the beach, only out to dinner and to a show or something. Also we have to drive through it to get to my Bf's parents house, my in-laws I should say, They live over the Hampton bridge into Seabrook beach, which is really the best beaches, it is all family members on their beach, a private beach..
We had lunch at the Sea Catch on the top level, it was awesome, we had a nice peaceful time talking. Carole couldn't believe how nice a quiet it was without all the people down there compared to what it was like when she was there this summer. So anyway we ordered our food and the waiter looked like he has never waited on any one before, he didn't look old enough to serve alcohol.. I ordered a Greek Salad as did Carole.. Well when the boy handed my salad to me A CROSS THE TABLE which he had all he could to reach me, the salad dressing was on the side of the plate on the edge, when I tried to reach for it the salad dressing fell ALL OVER MY CLOTHES, OVER MY POCKETBOOK, ON MY NEW SNEAKERS. IT WAS A MESS..When we got the bill the young girl who was helping him came over to say she was sorry what happened.. Carole and Sharon were upset that the charged me $13.99 for the salad..Carole ran up and told them that wasn't appropriate charging for the salad when he dumped the salad on me.. The girl said the waiter said it was ME who dumped it on myself... WE were WHAT, NO WAY, NO wonder he didn't look upset about it.. I told the girl I am not paying for the salad and handed her a 10$ tip for being honest to what he said.. I told her to put the money in her pocket and not him.. I think that is what she did with it!!
Anyway, It was such a nice day!! It didn't ruin it for us, we have already been through a lost of our children, that kind of stuff is petty shit, compared to what we moms have gone through, but it is the principle of it...Right!! We took our shoes off and walked in the sand, it was So nice to be with the SOTH, we feel peace knowing we are not alone.. Carole is in the early stages of the loss of her precious Brian, Bri Bri, she called him. I use to call my Ryan Ry Ry!! Carole's Brians accident happened on April 20th year 2012, and my Ryans funeral was on April 20th 2006. Throughout the years on FMO, we seem to have these coincidence's which makes us feel a connection with one another...
We walked to the North beach which is down aways, I thought we should of walked back to our cars and drive to it, I wanted to show Sharon and Carole where I had Ryans ashes scattered.. Once we got there we wished we had drove the cars there. Now I'm huffing and puffing trying to explain how it was when we had the ceremony there, I didn't have the energy to tell much, but they caught the drift.. On the walk back it was like Ahhhh we better keep moving or else I am sitting to rest and if that happened Sharon wouldn't of made her next journey that night with her friends from Texas, Man that girl keeps herself busy, She has friends everywhere, Wow, it is awesome, she's enjoying her retirement for sure, LOL.. We made it to our cars by 5:40, not bad timing was it Sharon..
Next time we get together I would love to meet in Newburyport Ma, it is beautiful their too, Great restaurants and nice little Boutique's, I love to browse in those kind of shops.. The restaurants over looking the marina's..Lets do it Girls!!!! Both Sharons, Carole, how bout Laura, Linda???? We will see!!
I am also up for a Cape Cod trip also,,Check out the pilgrim's landing store, the Labyrinth and more, I have another friend who use to live in Falmouth at the Cape, and woods hole, Martha's Vinyard!!!! I would love it!!!!!!!
Thank you Sharon and Carole for a wonderful time Sunday!!!!

Now I am just a tad jealous! I feel so alone out here in the Northwest! It sounds like you had an awesome time! I think Lisa may have been watching you - her birthday is April 20!
I love the ocean and wish I lived nearer to it. Either on the East or West coast - it gives me peace to be near the water. And to be there with SOTH would be phenomenal!
Hugs, Marlene
I\'m in!! If you come to the Cape let me know so I can hook up with you. I was supposed to go to Chatham last week but it didn\'t work out.
Hi Kelly, It is wonderful to be with our SOTHS isn\'t it? I would love to join you and our other friends in Newburyport. Love to you and Ryan, Linda
Isn\'t it great....having SOTHs close enough to visit...I only have Gretchen that I know of within 2 ;hours...
Glad you all had a great time.
I am in for the next time, maybe.
Hugs
Laura
I love the beach too. It really is peaceful. Sounds like yall had a nice visit. Glad you were able to get together.
Peace and love,
Nell
Kelly, that sounds like a great time! That\'s too bad about the restaurant \"happening\", but (keeping with the restaurant theme!) it\'s \"small potatoes\" compared to what we\'ve all been through...! which you thought, too.
Funny, today at IHop, the waitress handed me my combo plate-- and one of the two pieces of bacon-- FELL TO THE FLOOR!!! No big deal, and I told her \"That\'s OK...I only wanted one anyway! :-) I thought it was sorta funny...(but then again I\'m not a big bacon fan! ) Thanks for sharing this great SOTH meeting! Love to you and Ryan, Donna
Newburyport sounds like a plan to me! Maybe for some Christmas shopping before it is too cold? Good to hear that Laura (maybe, NOT!), and Linda will join. I know Sharon will and we\'ll get Carole again! Yes, we are fortunate to have a group of SOTHs right here.
XO
YOU are so very fortunate indeed. I enjoy hearing about your getting together and SO wish I could be a part of it too. Just sayn... :)
Glad it all worked out and yes, small stuff in the grand scheme of things isn\'t it?
Much love dear Kelly and watch those flying salads and dressing.

Sounds like you and the girls had a great time. Your adventures sound yummy.
