SONGBIRD
In the summer of 1910 a beautiful songbird appeared in the forest Of Life. With fantastic wings of silver blue she enchanted all who stopped to listen to her melody of a far distant land and the story of how one man's sacrifice changed the entire world.This was no ordinary bird mind you. Growing up Edna was often found in the company of the Wood Gnomes and therefore by time she reached the age of maturity she had developed a terrific and very contagious sense of humor that was enjoyed by all. But that gift of wit Edna had was a tool she used often as she taught all the children about secret power of prayer. Then she would encourage her little friends to listen to their hearts and follow her back to the Garden of Prayer.
While Billie sang the Blues and doris sang about cute little puppies, Edna sang O Holy Night every Christmas Eve from the top of her favorite pine tree. And as her friends sat up there love nests Edna's love song drifted through the branches to the next generation. She had a message to spread as she glided along through the years. And Edna of course never missed a single beat of that glorious song.
These days this ladybird's wings truly are silver and she is a little weary now as she sits on the Perch of Time. But she has not lost her sense of humor nor does she just sit around twiddling her toes. No sir not Edna ! She continues to shine throughout the dark days and as she sits on her perch she she sings the old old story and continues to spreads her message of grace and redemption.
For every sacrifice she made in this life time there will an everlasting reward. Every tear she shed has produce a glorious bloom in Edna's favorite garden. And each flower has a wonderful story to tell and wonderful memories to share of that glorious Songbird who now has
finally received her angel wings.

One August 15th 2014 my dear friend Edna (and former Sunday School teacher) turned 104, on August 16th she had her 3rd major stroke and on September 4th at 5 am she was Promoted to Heaven where she will forevermore sing praises to the Lord God Almighty.
We will always love you Edna and we will never forget you or your song.

There aren\'t words to adequately describe your tribute to your friend. You two must have been so special to each other - she was a beautiful song bird and you are a beautiful angel in all that you do for everyone. So glad you are part of our lives.
