Sometimes you have to foster some relationships from a distance
I am a very prayerful woman and have been spending this holy week, leading up to resurrection Sunday in much prayer. Last week was ‘o’ week, and how awesome it will be if I found out this month we were expecting again! Since my miscarriage I realized I have changed, and I’m not going to apologize for it. Some people that I use to have dealings with before, I have very little tolerance for now. This is a very sensitive and a healing time for me. I am not in a space in my life to deal with some people like I use to, even some friends—especially friends who are expecting. So I made up my mind that I am going to foster those relationships from a distance for now and I’m ok w/ that…

I\'m going through the same thing. My tolerance for other people\'s nonsense is very limited. My husband\'s father passed 5 weeks after I miscarried. We had to travel to be with our his family ( we live about 2 hours away from both of our families). My mother just moved, has not unpacked, has no bed and told me that I hurt her feelings because I didn\'t spend the night with her. Beyond the fact that she recently moved, she has not and does not intend to have a guest room in her 3 bedroom home. Where are me and my husband supposed to sleep? In the cold, unfinished basement that floods? I told her that she didn\'t have room for me, so I wasn\'t staying there. Despite everything that was going on with my father-in-law, I visited my mother twice. I love my mother, but like you, I\'m loving her from a distance.
Shawnie, I understand its crazy but even family can push those buttons! I\'m always putting others wants and feelings before mine, but I\'m going to be selfish for a change. I\'m focusing on being a better me and hopefully starting a family soon. I\'m learning its ok to say \"no\" sometimes and do somethings for yourself.
I needed to come back to some old journal entries. I just want to thank
God for showing me who my real friends are even if its few. I\'m learning that you just need a few good people in your circle, don\'t have to be many. Once I stopped entertaining people who were judgemental and meant me no good, I have so much peace. Funny thing is, they know I got they number and they mad! Now they are on the outside of my circle looking in, I hope that they are taking notes b/c I have the peace of God that passes all understanding. I found the key to being happy and I hope they will to. I don\'t regret people who were w/ me for a season, but some of there time is up and I realize that. My priotirits are God, husband, future children and others in that order. Thank God for peace!
