Sometimes persistence does pay off
Okay - I have been told (actually about the way I play soccer) is that I'm tenacious. Yes - when I really believe in something or am passionate about something - I keep at it until I get the results I want. Either on or off the "pitch". Well, long story short - I was able to get the high school youth philanthropy group to donate funds to a foundation I belong to that raises funds to help families with kids that need drug treatment. It wasn't a easy task, but I was able and the amount was generous. It was actually the high school Principal that made the decision. Just happy that I was able to get them to donate because I haven't sent out any letters to friends and families because I've done it before with the other organization I belong(ed) to.
