Sometimes decisions are made for us.

Returned from Utah where we went to watch one of my daughters play volleyball.  We stopped in Pocatello to pick up one daughter and then in Salt Lake to pick up another daughter and then on to Price.  The trafffic from Salt Lake to Spanish Fork was horrendous and it was a looooong day in the care.
It was Sophomore night (junior college) and my daughter is a sophomore and we were anxious to get to the match for the announcement of the players and parents - we being the parents stuck in traffic and having the furthest to travel.
We made it.  We walked in the gym just in time.  AND, it was a fantastic match.  We beat the 5th ranked team in the nation in three amazing games.  For any volleyball lovers, my daughter plays libero.
On Saturday we drove a ways out of town and looked at some Native American pictures etched into rocks and headed back to town for the afternoon match.  Unfortunately, the team didn't play as well as the night before but they still competed well.  We headed back to Salt Lake and stayed with my husband's brother and had a good visit.
One daughter is up at U of Idaho Law school and has made it into the top 8 for arguing an apellate advocacy something or other.   We were thinking of driving up there this weekend for Abby's volleyball tournament (her team is in a conference with North Idaho College) and then watch Maren's argument, but I don't think I can handle another all day car trip.  I'm still thinking about it, but sometimes decisions are made for us.
My son stayed home for his state cross country meet.  He was the alternate for the team and there was a chance he might need to run since one of the kids had an injury, another's knees hurt, and another had been sick.  His team got 5th at state.
Now, the volleyball team will be staying at our house again this week on their way up to NIC.  I keep pretending this is all normal and that I can handle it easy breezy lemon squeezy.  I just never know when I am going to expire.
P.S.  two upset stomach episodes related to green peppers, Richie.  Sad.
