Something Positive..In Life

There has been so much sadness in our group lately and I wanted to take a stab at trying to get out of this funk so I thought I'd write about some of the lighter things I'm thankful for today.
- beautiful crisp sunny day - thank God I have my senses (like to do this, so many people don't have them)
- going food shopping today at a store that is known to be filled with old people that are always in my way.
- those old people that annoy the hell out of me also remind me to slow down and enjoy life, I'll be there one day.
- that my dog runs around like an idiot after she goes to the bathroom and that I can smile about it.
- my neighbors ducks who walk around our yard quacking
- my neighbor who bought these ducks for her spoiled daughter and thought she'd only have them for the summer (what an idiot)
- being able to laugh that I spilled sweet and sour sauce on the floor and missed a spot when cleaning and just realized why my foot keeps sticking.
All kidding aside how lucky are we to have a great group of people in this group that can support and set us straight all in the same breath. That's a big positive in my book.

This pre-winter/holidays funk does seem to be taking hold.

Good list.

I am going to add my son picking his nose and wiping it on me this morning and saying \"here you go mommy I cleaned my nose!\"

I love when we do this! We all have so much to be thankful for and much that we can laugh about; let us always keep reminding each otther! I swear an oath that if I win the lottery, we\'re all going on a cruise together! We\'ll be laughing the whole trip! Love you guys! lol

This is great! Reminders that while we wallow in our own self pity and sorrow that life is passing us by. I\'ll respond by sharing with others what I already shared with you. Made a trip to the kitchen this morning to get my 2nd cup of coffee - now where\'s the creamer I left on the counter? Did I put it away? Nope - it was out in the back yard empty (it ws 3/4 full). Thomas must have needed it more than I did. For once, this made me smile. Thomas and his antics - LOL!

I hope your still smiling when he has diarrhea later for all of that creamer.(lol)
Speaking of dogs, I have 2 stories:
Today my dog is lying around with a pile of puke next to her, inside was a dryer sheet that she ate. Gross.
My second story is probably TMI but I think it\'s funny. Last weekend I went upstairs in my bathroom to find all of the remenants from my period on the floor. My lovely dog went into the garbage and ripped everything apart and either ate or chewed it up and left it all over the floor for me. Needless to say it was gross seeing it the first time let alone seeing it again for the second.
Ah, dogs you got to love them.

Ok, cat story. Well, not a big story. He was a good boy and left us a present in the living room...yep, Mr. Mouse. We had this issue last winter. We thought we plugged up the rodents\' entry with steel wool. There was an opening in the foundation between the back patio and the house. We shoved steel wool in there, which is what we were told to do, but, alas, it seems that the creatures found another way in! Good thing Jeffery is on the job! lol

Well...I woke up this morning to a puddle of pee on the floor from my wonderfully old, blind, incontinent dog, lol. I love her, so I guess I\'m thankful she is still with me! The things we do, lol.

Nice list. I have to add another cat story. Our cat\'s liver is failing so now I wake up to yet another puddle of puke but the moment I sit to watch TV she is on my lap with her little head on my shoulder purring away. Getting old sucks for animals too!
