Something isn't right
I have RA for 5 years now and it has taken over my body and has left me currently disable. I am coming to terms to it but thats not whats bothering me. My ankle lately has been going crazy with spasms it was hard to sleep today because of it I can barely walk on it and when I am laying down it hurts to put the ankle down on the mattress I took fexeril but I don't think thats helping in the least. I don't know if this is related to RA or not but its getting quite annoying I hate not being able to walk far distances I am only 25 this sucks I graduated from college last May just to be disabled. I hope they get this under control eventually. I know people out there have it way worse then I do. But I still have to rant every once in awhile. :D
Okay so I try to put a happy note in each journal I just filed my taxes and they have accepted by the IRS. So now I will have money for my trip next month woohoo. The convention is being held at the Red lion and is usually booked full with in 10 months of the event so I made sure to make reservations months and months in advance so I can get a wing with an elevator or the bottom floor one year I was specific enough and I got stuck on the only wing that had no elevator. Let me tell you I learned my lesson on that lol. So they made sure I have a room on the lower level yay. So that will make things easier. Now I have to go wake up mom for work she works graveyard and I have already let her sleep 30 minutes past the time she was suppost to wake up dang movies that keep my attention span.

im sorry u are so young and having so much pain and disability, dont let the disability waste your life and your mind i know its easier said than done but perhaps u can use your brain on a internet job or something
good luck with ankle and all
hugs
I\'m glad you are going to your convention. :-) Sounds fun!
I hope that you can work with a physical therapist familiar with RA and you will have to fight hard for what most 25 yr-olds take for granted. However, you can improve physically with extra effort! Can you find others your age with RA who are improving their fitness levels? Voices of experience are the best!
I\'m sorry you are hurting so much.
Congratulations on graduating from college. Many jobs are available that will not involve too much physicality.
Please accept yourself and be patient. You have achieved much and will achieve more in time.
Thank you both for your comments. My insurance doesn\'t cover physical therpy and my RA doctor hasn\'t brought it up. Maybe I will ask him at my next appointment. I do try to exercise on a daily basis I have the WII fit that helps and then I try to force myself to go up and down the stairs at least once a day. I am not going to let disability be a long term thing I am thinking about getting my masters in accounting. I want to go into fraud accounting that sounds fun and since I have the disability income I won\'t have to work while going to schol like I did last time so thats nice :)
