Something Good This Week at Weight Watchers

Okay - I had an emotional blow with yet another death. The good news is this morning was my Weight Watcher Meeting.  Drum Roll Please...........down 2.2 lbs.  A total of 10 lbs.  Our Leader of the Group, declared the week as national indulgence week,  just as a topic to get us talking about indulging ourselves, spa day, mani/pedi, movie,... she asked why no one mentoned food.  All was silent.  The guilt spread amongst us.  She reiterated that we can eat candy and ice cream if we choose.  We can enjoy a slice of birthday cake.  I like this meeting so much.  There are many life members, women who have reached goal and have kept the weight off and still attend.  They inspire me.  I feel like a sponge, relearning how to eat in the real world.  I am free just for today of having to eat until I am sick.  And having to eat unti I could not feel anything but the onset of sleep.  I  am countring points and staying away from a high fat content in food.  I have not been on a real diet in such a long time.  I can't believe how good things are.  Pam makes the eggs so fluffy when used on a teflon pan.  I luv skinny cow products.  Fudge Pop 50 calories.  Three slices of Pepperidge farm bread THIN SLICED 100 calories.  A baked potatoe with ff sour cream 100.  This is awsome.  I can eat what I like and loose weight.  I can have a yogurt at night or a piece of fruit.  And with summer here, all the best fruit, like melon and berries.  I forgot or never knew these things.  I think I was just  asleep.  I am so grateful to DS.  It was suggested to me to read my old journals from two years ago.  I joined DS and I stopped smoking.  I bitched and complained every day about the evil white cylinder.  I ended every crazy journal with "I did not smoke today",  I am grateful to say I have still not smoked.  I had plenty of excuses the death of my darling Mother and my standard excuse, weight gain. The loss of self-esteem because I know the huffing and puffing is not just from the astma anymore, but the 50 lbs I have gained.    I also have to say I was lonely for male companionship.  Taking care of others all the time, can really put the kabash on that.  Who has time with a full time job and taking care of your beloved Mother and family. Well, I did meet a wonderful guy, he is sweet, he understands me and believe me thats not easy.  He is supportive about my weight loss effort.  I have been dating him since January and no matter how many times I think I want to dump him, he does or says something so kind and nice, that I feel his sensitivity and all I can do is smile.   Also, my family and friends are crazy about him.  So for now, I am enjoying his company.  He just asked me yesterday to be his "girlfriend", is that not cute.    Ok Girls, its Ree from HIgh School again.   I don't look that way,  but I know alot more. On that note, remember there is "more than one way to skin a cat",  Hee Hee he.
