Something New
Let's see. What's new? Lymphoedema! Its the reason my right let is swollen,,,so they say. Also known as lymphatic obstruction. its caused by a compromised lymphatic system. This means I'll be in support hose(they call them garments for some reason) for the rest of my life. Oh, Joy! There'll be 3 trips to the clinic at first to do God know what. And of course, the "garments" are not covered by medicare. Okay, what else is new. Nothing really, just developments. The wound care doc refuses to admit my leg is just as bad as when all of this began weeks ago. But, she did wrap the leg and wants to see me in a week. She says she wants to delay the lymph treatment until the leg is fully healed. Good idea. Wouldn't want 2 places fighting over me. My blood is still too thin now. The nurse says its probably because of the meds the e.r. doc gave me. I'm getting better sleep. At least longer. Seems I'm tired and week during the day. The pain may have something to do with that. Just wish all the docs would get together and fix everything.

I wish they would too. I\'m sorry you have to deal with all of that and I sure hope you feel better soon. My hubby has been in a lot of hip and knee pain just waiting to see a specialist who can operate on him. I know it will get better eventually but the waiting hurts too.
