Some thoughts in my head :)
So, I went to bible study this morning...and we watched a DVD in a series done by a lady named Jennifer Rothschild, based on her book Walking by Faith: Lessons Learned in the Dark.. Her series is about walking by faith, not by sight, something that the Lord has obviously given her a very practical understanding of, since her diagnosis of blindness at 15. It amazes me, her ability to trust Christ in the midst of such distressing hardship...and it humbles me to understand really, that there are much worse challenges than the ones I face. I may want things my way, and want a different life than the one I have now, at times...but the Lord is faihtful, and gives is what we need, not what we think we need...and the desires of our heart in His time and way.
I have also been reading "The God of All Comfort," a tremendous Christian book, and it has touched my life, and made me want to trust God all the more, so that HE will get the glory for taking good care of me, and changing me from the complaining and selfish person I've been lately, into someone who has so much inner peace and joy that people can't help but notice it!! :)))
I want you to know that God loves you, even if you don't feel like it. He absolutely is FOR you, not against you...and we should love and be for others, rooting for them to succeed--in their corner! Maybe it feels like there is nothing we can do for those who are hurting, but a kind word that we take the time to give, could honestly be what they need to make it through the day. You guys have done that for me :D
Please know that the Lord is worthy to be trusted...He wants to supply your every need, if you'll only let Him. Just rest in that :)
A verse that came to my mind today, I hope for you...whoever you may be, is
Zephaniah 3:16 b-17:
16 B "Do not fear, O Zion; do not let your hands hang limp.
17 The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing."
Love and hugs,
-Jasmine
