some peace

We went to our first group meeting with those who have lost loved ones to suicide on Thursday evening and I think it will really help us as we go through it for the next eight weeks.  The group was real small but is supposed to get bigger next week, we left feeling real tired but felt like it really helped us in a small way and hope as time goes on it will help us even more.  Just say lots of tears we shed.  Today has been one of those days when you just feel like something is missing and there is a big hole, I really do miss my son and hope that someday and will be able to forgive him what he has done to us and his wife and children.

I pray you will one day know that your son did not want to hurt you intentionally. I am glad you found some comfort at the group meeting. I recommend a book by Albert Hsu, \"Grieving A Suicide\"...I may have already told you this...but, please do read it. I ordered mine off of Amazon. Since you are a Christian, you will find peace in the words of this man who lost his ailing father to suicide. I know about this void...this black abyss of sadness...it has not left me but it is getting smaller. Some days are better than others. God be with you and your family. Peace...dale, brandon\'s mom
