some of my funky poetry...just for kicks.

long grass stands
watch, silvered
motionless.

Falling river spews
diamonds and moonstone
rushing over cliff's edge.
Trees are still
summer leaves limp
Burdened with starlight.
And she moves
through them
as dark over dawn...
Slow, slow.

Moonslight a lover
palms of silver
on shoulder and hip.
Delicate slivers
on breast, cheeks, lips.

Slow, under trees
through grass.
Light patterns
on her thighs.
Shards in her eyes.
Slower, into water
dark curls fan
in current's embrace.
Long sigh escapes
as river god
gentles her.
and green shadows
claim their own.

Wind resumes its chatter
Grass bent in answer.
That roving soul
found her way home.
