Some Good Stuff For A Change

Well, life has seemed quite a bit more balanced for a bit now.  I guess the best way I can describe it is that we're just greeting each day & living our life following whatever path makes us feel right, if you understand what I mean.  Oh I can't say that there isn't always those little negative pests that try and put a damper on our days but I do so strive to kick them as far away as possible.
I think togetherness was carried too far when we both came down with a cold/flu/bug at the same time.  The worst was the throat & dry coughing that went on.  That lastest the longest really.  One night was funny though cause he sat on his side of the bed coughing and I sat on mine coughing.  Now hows that for togetherness huh.
OK, now, for something that might be good to read.  I finally had my spa appointment that was supposed to have been September but was put off.  When I finally decided OK, after everything we've been thru I need this.  I checked the website for this particular spa and because it was their 10th anniversary in Oct., they were offering specials where you book a treatment and there's a second one for $10.   So I jumped on that, called my dearest dearest friend and we went together.  She is not as financially blessed as I am so a $10 luxury treatment just made her so happy.  Mine was regular price at $110.00.
So here it is.  It was a 2 hr chocolate scrub/body wrap & mist treatment.  First you had a few minutes of an aromatherapy thing around your upper body to help relax you, then you had a whole body cocoa exfoliation scrub.  Then thats wiped off with nice toasty warm water.  Then you have a whole body chocolate mask & when thats on you're wrapped in a type of plastic & covered with a blanket.  The lights are dimmed, the spa nature music is playing, they leave you for abt 20 minutes & your just feel like you're so pleasantly drifting.  Then you shower that off & the finish is a hydrating mist which sprayed on & they gently rub it in & finish with a head & face massage.   We then went to a really nice cafe abt a block away & had lunch.  Of course I had to finish this whole thing with a Cafe Mocha with of course a bit of whipped topping & shaved chocolate.
So if there's one thing I learned its that chocolate and spa really do go together just so divinely.  And darn it all, I felt I deserved that bit of pampering.
For the last 3 days I've had Nancy(barlochan) on my mind to what is almost a strange amount of the time.  I get this really strong feeling like she's really watching & oh, I don't know, there's just something about the whole thing I can't put a finger on.  I wonder if she's trying to tell me something?  Or maybe who knows, my mind is playing strange tricks on me.
Well I guess thats about it for now.  I do so love you all for taking time out to read this & I so love reading your thoughts and comments.

I can just picture you on one side of the room and Mel on the other side being close even when sick. Very sweet indeed. You make being sick fun!! I love reading this journal. I knew some thing was keeping you away from me. Thank you for the update..
I was once told when we think of people who have passed one we are supposed to pray for them. That\'s all I know about that.
Hope to get together soon with you for I have missed you.
Love you more then you can ever know, Frieda
