Some Cheering Required

Sunday - my Darlin discovered that he has had a poem published by a newspaper. He is only a dabbler - calls himself a 'wordsmith' rather than a poet - but this was really nice news. Monday - an enormous hamper of luxury goodies arrived by courier. This was from my bank in response to a complaint I made when I received a text message on Easter Friday- reminding me to pay my credit card . Since I only expected an apology and 'we'll never do it again' letter , I was pretty excited.  Tuesday - my Darlin (it's his week for sure) had a huge win at the club. I've taken the money off him 'cause it'll be earmarked for some concreting! He was also given a crate of 'dead' motors - which he will repair and turn into cash. Looked like scrap to me but he assured me they're all salvageable Yesterday - I swept, vaccuumed and washed the floor. Something I have achieved only very rarely in the last year.
