Solidarity

I phoned my friend, Dorrie today. She's another lady who adores parrots and also shares the blasted alveolitis disease. We're so alike and can chat for hours on the phone, she is very dear to me and I worry as she is fighting lung cancer. She started her chemo the same day I was rushed in with my embolism, seems we can't do anything without the other following suit! She sounded tired when I phoned, I'm tired too and my chest hurts with the infection. Her tumour has shrunk which is absolutely fantastic news and I pray the day comes when she can finally say she's beat the cancer!I wish we lived closer, there's about 150 miles between us, once she's finished treatment I'm going to stay for the weekend, lots of good food and wonderful company. Hmm is chocolate classed as good food? well if it isn't then it should be. We both ended up having a laugh on the phone, love and friendship are 2 of the most precious things in the whole world. I'm blessed to have some people I love dearly in my life and I know with them by my side I can come through anything. I hope that I give the same feelings and optimism in return. I've not worded this blog very well today but it'll have to do as I have a headache! Laterz ...
