Society, from a male perspective.
O.K. guys, its has been brought to my attention that I have not posted in a while. Some people seem to like my venting??? I went back to college at the old age of 40 so I am more comfortable around young people than most. What I am seeing makes me worry about the role that menfolk have made for themselves in society. I work part time at an apartment complex as my form of excercise. The aneurysm brought me really close to the bottom financially so I have picked up the habit of dreading to throw out anything that still some function in it. Recently I met a young couple who are both in the service and are from Maine originally. I started talking to the wife cus she is pretty and has a good head on her shoulders. I had had to go into her apartment as part of my job and I saw that they had very little in the way of worldly things. I started bringing them things that I was supposed to throw out. The girl was highly suspcious of my motives. I explain why I thought they could use a little help and said to her that I was not trying to hit of her or anything to that affect. They have a need and it was something that I could do something about at no cost to me. She could not believe that I would do anything without ulterior motives. I asked her her age and she said twenty!!! I have ties older than that!!!!! So I said "don't you have any males related to you by blood that can tease you a little without having anything besides teasing on their minds". She told me that no, no male relatives even related by blood have ever had anything on their minds but getting into her pants. Maybe I am getting niave in my old age or are males really that sick? You don't hit on anyone younger than your waist size right guys???? Did we forget that????? LOLLOL OY! E

Dear Eric,
You are hilarious!!! Love, MOM :)
Congrats on going back to school. I am also going back this Summer and I relate to the young adults better than the adults my age also. I have tried dating men my age and I feel like I am out with an old man. Oh, and the answer to your question based on my experiences is yes. Men just want in the pants.
Ok - well - good for you for taking things to this couple - you have a good heart. If she meant that even her male relatives want to get into her pants - this little girl comes from a very dysfunctional home - yes? And - if a woman is good looking - all ages seem to respond.
And thank you for the update on life - I like to know what is going on in your life - I\'m not sure why - yes I am - you are a really good friend. :)
I think men, especially younger men, have had the lines of their roles blurred so much. I think young people are so jaded at such a young age that they are losing trust in anyone older than their shoe size.
I kind of miss the good old days. Men were men. Women were women, and never the twain should meet. Loved the entry, and thank you for doing what is right, even in the face of suspicion.
I love your journal entries! You are so entertaining, you could be a writer.
Awwww. poor little girl.
Dear Blondie, pity this poor waif, as she has made a friend in me. I have to redeem all us males somehow. lol
LMAO, Thanks for the laugh Eric!!
As usual you are showing the world what an endearing and loving soul you are. Good for you taking this on! I may not know you well but everytime i look at your writing i am proud to have had you enter my family\'s life. Keep it up i think i\'m starting to see alittle crooked halo over your head - tee hee!
Where do I fit in then Eric? lol. You have a wonderful heart, that\'s for sure.
