Social Isolation
Okay so today didn't quite work out as I had HOPED... but then that was probably not particularly unpredictable since for everyone else... this time of year is the start of the "holidays"...
On a brighter note I actually bumped into a very nice lady who also has a passion for Vietnam! I told her all about my dream of going to Go Vap Orphanage in Ho Chi Min City (Saigon) to help out. We swapped phone numbers and she seemed very keen to show me the photos of her trip to Vietnam.
I bought a big headed dog from the charity shop where she is a volunteer to add to the collection I have that I want to take to Vietnam for the kids. Yes, I know I'm supposed to take infant formula and children's vitamins and I will take those too... But, I'm hoping that for the children with encephalitis that having a toy that also has a head pretty big for its body will make them smile... : )
