social construct hierarchy of the wards
I'm decently sure I'm going away sooner rather than later. I don't feel like dealing with fellow psychiatric patients in particular, though. You'd think the dynamic in the hospital would be different than it is on the outside, but it is not. There's always a moral superiority pissing contest brewing, who's the more or less nutty. If you've been admitted, clearly yourself or someone else thinks you are tripping space balls. You are the loon as I am the loon, as he/she is, we are the loon, because you are me and I am you and we are one and the same, two peas from the same pod of odd.

When I\'m in the hospital - I see people worse than me, gives me a reality check.... the people that \"know\" the ward, well - not as much help, either my comparison, or soothing.... I do not go in for friends or group, I go in to change meds rapidly, without -\" take this a month a come back\" shit.....
My last inpatient was 4 days, the change in my meds, quickly - stopped my rapid cycling. The pdoc saw one of my meds was half dose for a YEAR, my pdoc didn\'t know or care. Half dose, does nothing...
My first inpatient, as a teenager - I left with a blanket, signed by \"all the assorted nuts\" (((BIG HUG)))
Hospitals, jail, living withe parents - yuck! I find no reason to enjoy or appreciate these things. Just something to do, to get BETTER not Worse.... in my sick brain world....
Wishing you some peace, comfort and joy - or at least a great long laugh!!!!
The only time I was in the psych hospital, I saw people who were much sicker than me, and it put things into perspective. I had a plan to get better, but of a lot of them didn\'t even know what better was. I went there voluntarily, committed voluntarily, as the first step of a conscious social/spiritual/financial recovery. It was hard work, and not every step happened as I planned, but I made it through to the other side better!
I believe when life gives you lemons, make lemonade, and when life gives you shit, don\'t just wallow in it, get a canvas and paint a masterpiece with it about wallowing in shit.
My BP symptoms started diminishing in my mid 30s. That seems like a long way off, forever, to you. How do you get there? One day at at a time. They\'re still here, but they\'re manageable, and so familiar they are almost like clothes. I designed a life in which I could have a mental health day, and use hypomania for those 70 hour work weeks.
Were you consciously riffing on I Am the Walrus?
I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.
See how they run like pigs from a gun, see how they fly.
I\'m crying.
