So relieved!
I had my appointment with the MFM today and had the NT scan and blood work. So far everything looked great. Both babies had thin neck measurements and good nasal bones. I'll have to wait and see on the blood work, but I am feeling pretty good!
I am definitely having fraternal twins, the tech saw that an egg dropped from each ovary (go ovaries!) She also said that both placentas are in the back in a good position with the umbilical cords nice and near the middle where they should be. Such a relief. Had we known about my angel's top-side cord attachment, we could have likely prevented the detachment by an early c-section. So glad to know the VCI seems negative in this pregnancy. I will get checked again at 20 weeks for the umbilical cord insertions and of course I'll have growth scans later on.
My cervix was also measuring over 4cm! I wasn't worried as I carried my angel to 40 weeks with no problems, but better safe than sorry!
Finally, the best news is it seems we are definitely having one boy and probably a girl. Baby B, our boy, was having fun showing his goods off. Baby A kept crossing her little legs, but the few views we got didn't show anything there. The tech was pretty certain. However, I am only 12w4d, so time will have to tell on Baby A. We are so excited no matter what!
Baby B is a big boy, measuring 13w1d and Baby A, suspect girl, was measuring right on track at 12w4d. B's HB was 154 and A's was 163.
All in all, a VERY GOOD appointment :)
P.S. I definitely felt A LOT of movement from my little ones last night and after seeing them wiggle like crazy today, I know it wasn't my imagination!
