So Proud

GS received a Citizenship/Leader award yesterday from a civic group.  All of his teachers nominated him for the award, his principal was at the banquet and gave a wonderful speech about why he deserved the award, what a terrific kid he is, etc., and he was given a beautiful framed certificate before the entire group.  I was very proud of him! The way he told me about the upcoming event was so cute.  The night before, he asked me if I could take off work at lunch time tomorrow, and I said sure, what do you need me to do?  He asked if I could meet him at a local restaurant because "It's no big deal, but I'm getting this award and the principal is driving me there for the banquet, so can you meet me there?"
