So it's been a week...
It's been about a week and a half since he told me he wants me back and that he made a mistake saying he wanted a divorce. We have been getting along ok most of the time, but there have been several occasions where sharp words were exchanged. We still have a lot of the same problems that we had before, nothing has changed in that regard. We have implemented some strategies to change our dynamic and those efforts have been successful at least. I really feel like we need more therapy but he isn't willing. He says that the therapy we had before worked because we are still together. This is obviously incorrect but I can't pressure him to do something he isn't willing to do, so I'm continuing on with my own individual therapy. I just don't know...
This is all very surreal. All of this drama has been going on since summer. Two weeks ago I was crushed now suddenly everything is supposed to be ok again. But thats not how this works. I'm super insecure and still have anxiety. I'm maintaining my independance but am sad a lot. He hasn't said anything about being in love with me, and this whole thing started in August when he told me he wasn't in love with me anymore. I'm feeling a little lost and super confused. I know this is what I wanted and while I still don't want a divorce, I don't know how to get from where we are to where we need to be. And I'm scared. Very very scared.

Wow, wish I had some good advice for you. You're actually where I wished I was about a month ago. Now, I become less and less sure. So, I understand your feelings of confusion. I would sit him down and point blank ask him if he's in love with you., If he can't answer that question or for some reason said no, then it's probably in your best interest to not take him back, I know how crazy that may sound, but you don't deserve someone who is not in love with you. Even though that seems like the safe and wise choice, it would really be the wrong one. Now, I can't tell you what choice to make, as I don't even know if I would trust myself to make the right decision. Just giving you food for thought. I honestly hope everything works out just the way you want. We all deserve happiness, and to see someone like you get that happiness would give me hope going forward. Let us know how it turns out.
Why did he say he made a mistake? If he said he wanted a divorce what changed his mind? I would talk through these things with him and you should insist couples therapy if he wants to stay together after putting you through hell. He can't just come back to you without making a grand effort of reconciliation. Just not fair!
