So I finally broke down and contacted her

Yeah, like the title says. We were supposed to talk on the phone but I got too drunk and passed out. We talked for a little bit and she said she'd been going through a lot and shutting everyone out just like me. The reason I feel like she might be lying is this doesn't really add up. She started shutting me out like this a few days before I stopped texting her and we were supposed to go out and see a movie but she didn't show up. When I finally did hear from her that day she was "chillin" at some guy's house (A friend). I don't know what to say, I want to bring this up with her and basically ask wtf? Like, things were going really well up until then and like I said a few days before she had gone quiet on me, not talking very much. It was just weird.

This really bothers me. I mean, she says she likes spending time with me but she almost never does and when we both finally have the time to she ditches me to go hang out with this other guy? Not a word, not "Oh I'm going to visit a friend and I'll be back in town <whenever>" Just nothing! I had to text her that day and ask to get her to tell me she was there. The way she's acting, it feels like this guy she was "chillin" with is apparently more important than dating me! It pissed me off and was part of why I just stopped texting her.

If she's telling the truth and she's been going through a lot of stress lately I'd feel like a real asshole bringing this up but this is kind of serious. She was kind of acting like she lost interest but there again something doesn't add up. Why so suddenly? Like, one day she's in love with me, can't wait to see me again and all the sudden I can barely get her to talk to me at all. My gut says don't give up. That she IS going through some shit, which I already knew. She's had some issues with her brother and father that she needed to work through, I knew that already. So I do know she's not completely lying but I wish she wouldn't shut me out like this. Why me? The person she claims to love.

The other reason I really don't just want to give up is, when we do spend time together (which sadly is rare) her feelings for me do seem pretty genuine. I know I've been rattling on about this for quite a while so I'm not going to expand on that too much.
Even still though, I can't shake the feeling she's just playing off my fears, hopes and desires. I chose to open up to her and actually have real, deep, heart-to-heart talks with her and she did seem to do the same in return but opening myself up to someone like that is dangerous. I've really told her everything she needs to know to get under my skin, screw with my head and really fuck with me. She did once tell me she likes to play mind games and I can't help but wonder if that's all this is after all. What if all she's doing is messing with me?
It makes me feel stupid. So desperate to believe in love. That I want a relationship so bad that I'm more than willing to latch on the first sign of real love I find, even if it's just an illusion. I hate feeling like this! I've been through sooo many extremely negative dating experiences. Falling in love has ALWAYS been such a negative experience that I wouldn't wish my own experiences on even my worst enemies (if I had any). Am I really that hard to love? Is it really that hard for anyone to even want to be with me? Why am I always so alone?
I don't think of myself as that nasty of a person. I try to be kind and genuine to everyone and I've never had any true enemies. Most of my friends seem to agree that I'm a great person, so why am I always treated like this? Why is it whenever I make any attempt at dating shit like this always happens? Just thinking about it brings this dark, heavy, extremely painful feeling to my heart.
If you've been following my journals at all, you'd know that I've even had potential dates tell me horrible, nasty, hurtful things. Judge me unfairly and put me down. The last woman who did this didn't even bother to take the time and get to know me. She just made a snap judgement. We talked for like a week on and off and finally when I asked her what she thought of me, the things she said were so hurtful that I just broke down and cried. She even had the nerve to end it with "But we can still be friends."
My gut feeling on this girl (not the one above, the one whom most of my recent journals have been based on) is that I shouldn't give up. That finding something like this is too rare for me and that she's telling me the truth that she's just been under too much stress.. but the way things just took a sudden turn for the worse says otherwise. I can't help but think maybe I shouldn't even try. Maybe I shouldn't try to salvage what little we had. Maybe I should just give up, take the time I need to heal and get over her and just carry on my lonely pathetic life. The way she's been behaving with me contradicts what she's said to me.
I'm mainly writing this all out because I plan to call her in about an hour and try to work this out. I've been debating whether or not to tell her any of this but I know when she asks I'm just going to tell her the truth. I don't believe in lying to someone just to save a relationship and I don't believe that holding this back from her would be a good idea.
I'll be back afterwards with a new journal and I'll probably be updating this repeatedly for about an hour anyways.UPDATE: I started making dinner kind of late so I txted her minutes ago. Still no answer :(
