So frustrating

So frustrated these past few days.I was doing well with my sugars and now Im having spikes in them again.I dont know what else I could possibly cut out of my eating.
However I did some reading online and 5 differents sights all said the same thng, that periods can cause spikes in sugars because the fluctuatuion of the 2 hormones can make womens bodies more insulin resistant.have a feeling this is whats going on because i had spikes before I was diagnosed and I would track them and then they would level off again.
Some days I think I can handle this and that Im doing well and then something happens and I am right back to the frustration.I dont know how to find a balance.I know that the more frustrated I get that its not helping my sugars either or the stress I keep putting myself under to get the numbers down...

HI,
You are correct, the more you stress over having perfect numbers the worse it will be. Remember that we are not a computer and that our bodies are not programmed to be perfect. As long as you keep trying to keep your carbs down and you exercise at least 30 minutes daily, you are doing all that you can do. Once your A1C comes in, then you and your doctor will have to decide on the appropriate dose and medication if any. In the meantime count to 10, and do the best that you can do. That is what I would do anyway. Take Care!
