So anxious
So far everything is going well. I'm so ready for this process to be over and be pregnant :) I'm praying this works on the 1st try. This has been such a long journey and very expensive. We are paying out of our pockets so we want this to be worth the money lol. I see so many women saying they are glad that if ivf doesnt work the 1st time they will just keep trying cause insurance covers everything and that they only pay copays! I wish I could say the same. We may only be able to afford this 1 time. So I'm giving it my all!
I go on Thursday for bloodwork and my ultrasound this is my 1st time since starting the meds. What questions should I ask when they call with the results? I'm so lost when it comes to this! Who would have ever guessed this is what I'd be going thru for a baby? I'll have a great story to tell my baby when he or she is older :)

You are in the stims-phase right? The ultrasound and bloodwork should just be to check how you are progressing and they\'ll just adjust your medications each day if needed. Right now all you can do is continue your shots and take one day at a time. I pray for peace for you at each step.
I\'m paying straight out too, so I get the not wanting to do this multiple times-thing. :)
I\'m on lupron right now and I\'m supposed to start my stims tomorrow. (Follistim and menopur). I\'m praying I stay on schedule.
Our stories sound very similar. Our insurance does not cover IVF and there is no way we could afford another round of IVF...not for a very long time. We had to borrow a ton of money and spent all of our life savings. Hopefully it will be worth it. Don\'t worry about the stims, they are not that bad. For the Menopur, have whoever is giving you the injection push it SLOWLY so it hurts less. That one stung a lot for me. Good luck, good luck!
Thank you jll2jlw! I pray we all get positive test results. And have healthy babies....
I am one of the fortunate ones where insurance covers a portion of the cost and I wish that I had only done this once. I am sure that you will stay on schedule or close to the schedule. I pray that this works out for both of us.
