Snow Day
Well here I am home from work today. For many it is a snow day but I had already known I would be off cuz of my doctor's visit yesterday (wants me to stay off my leg for a day or two). What gets me is if I have to be home, I wish I could be cleaning lol. But going to follow doctor's orders to try and get this leg better. Truly we don't even know if it will help staying off it but it sure does feel better when I have it elevated :) I am able to still work and I can only guess how frustrating it must be to become disabled from this condition. I can see it in my future but I hope I am wrong. I would like to know from those who are still working,, what helps you to make it to work everyday? If I was to become disabled, I would have to sell the house I bought and that would kill me. I was so thrilled to buy a home on my own (I had owned before when I was married, but that was our home, this is my home)and it gave me such a good feeling inside, to have to lose it would be heartbreaking. I have been worrying about this a lot lately because the pain has increased so terribly and the fatigue is starting to rule me pretty badly. When I think about all this it gets overwhelming :( Prayer helps but still the fears creep in.

Hi Carol,
I agree with you on how frustrating this is! I had to leave a job that I really liked, with a wonderful company last March, because the pain and fatigue had just gotten to be too much. I was at the point where I was practically crawling out of bed to come downstairs and log into work (yes, they even let me work from home!), and I still couldn\'t cope.
I so hope that this does not happen with you! Buying a home by yourself is quite an accomplishment and I understand why you would not want to give that up. I\'m not sure what\'s wrong with your leg...is it pain from fibro or is there something else going on? Either way, I will be praying for you to feel better and well enough to keep working ~ Hugs, Sherry
Hi Sherry,
I am not sure what happened with my leg but it is very difficult to walk. It actually hurts behind my right knee and it feels very tight, the pain radiates down my calf and up my thigh. I didn\'t do anything to my leg to cause this so I believe it is related to the fibro.
I am so sorry to hear that you had to give up your job also as I see so many other people have to do :( I know that disability does not provide enough for survival so if you are not married to have a supplement income, your in trouble and like I said...that is my big fear!
Thank you for your prayers Sherry! There is power in prayer.
Hugs, Carol
Hi Carol~It is so nice to see you joined the CFF group...I have found it to be such a supportive and loving group of people....it is mainly a smaller group so it just feels more family like, ya know what I mean? Very trusting and great people....and it is fun and uplifting, also! I am trying to be a better Christian and use my faith in my daily life and it really has been helping my over all health. I just wanted to add that after years of working it was very hard to have to become \"DISABLED\"....even hate that word! But, thru faith and a grieving process I found that when one door closes in a area of our life....soon, another door opens and we can still feel full filled and feel like we are still a part of the working human race. I was dx with RSD in 90 and Fibro in 95\'.....finally had to make the choice to file for SSDI or keep living in pain and the stress of trying so hard to keep up the pace~~~~becoming very unbareable. With the help of great Dr\'s and help...the process was very much better for me then what a lot of these people have to go through.
I feel very blessed now. I am able to still work a few days a week working with chidren with autism. This has brought me great joy as I was unable to have children....so, in someways SSDI has brought me blessings.
If you ever want to talk or chat or visit...just msg me. You seem like a awesome lady and a great Mom....this Fibro stuff can be a very lonely and depressing illness forsure....it is nice to find people you can relate with and find support and help. I will pray that your leg heals quickly. Please come visit on the CFF group and join right in....everyone is very excepting and I think you will find some comfort there! I look forward to being your friend! Take good care and God Bless! Love~Tory
Every one here is sooo correct GF. We all handle it differently. And yes, get on the internet and start familiarising yourself with \"FIBRO\". Everyone has different fibro. Like finger prints, \"no 2 are alike\"!!!! Just pray girl, every night! And read, read, read!!! There is always someone here for you.
I\'ve had it along time and it still is very troubleing. One reason I came here!!! LOL and PRAYER\'S for you lilacs. Cathy
