SMILING WITH ANTICIPATION
I really don't think I have been as at ease as I find myself today as the days move closer and closer to my surgery. Things are really looking up and dare I dream of all the possibilities and changes that are going to occur once i have this surgery. I am starting to envision all the blessings in store for me. Just smiling for no reason, or having the wind blow me across the street, or being so thin that their is room in my executive office chair for my grandchild to sit next to me, or dancing the way i use to and feeling so light on my feet again. Dare I envision being held in my husbands arms and not feeling like I'm stressing his back for him to hold me. Dare I dream to have the wedding I've always wanted complete with a long flowing gown and my groom looking at me the way he did the first day he met me, like I am the only woman on the planet that God designed just for him. (I mean he still says that now), but I haven't felt like that beauty that he sees in some time now. Dare I dream of the silly things like sitting down in the tub and not having the water plunge over the sides (roflmao). Dare I dream to go in my closet and slip on those capri's I brought in 2006 and have them actually fit. Dare I dream to go to the dr's and NEVER EVER have to hear your MORBIDLY OBESE EVER AGAIN. Dare I dream to envision the looks on my families face at the next reunion when the woman they bounced fat jokes off of is no longer the woman who stands before them as they gasp in disbelief. DARE I DREAM to live the life God ordained for me to have free of limitations and restrictions. DARE I DREAM of the day when the shackles are no longer tied to my feet hindering me from being the very best TAMI I can be. DARE I DREAM, DARE I DREAM, DARE I DREAM!!!!!!!
I will be 51 years old on March the 4th and I look forward to this birthday like none other. This year I will celebrate 50 years of life already lived and the 1 will represent my new birthday. The first day of the rest of my life, the day God will release me to live my DREAMS and walk in my destiny.
