Mary, I took that step 15 years ago also when I walked into the emergency room and asked for help. I asked to go into detox, because I knew it would lead to the hospital's treatment program which helped me get sober from my addiction to drugs and alcohol.
Mid, I think every major decision starts with a small step. Getting our feet wet, so to speak....getting use to the change and then moving on from there, if you will
