slowly rising.

OK had my INR drawn again at 6 PM tonight and my INR has actually risen to 1.8 so even though is still way  below therapeutic it is slowly rising. The doctor gave me a dose of 15 mg tonightand hopefully I will get to go home tomorrow. I want so bad to sleep in my own bed, I want to cuddle my dog, and I want to go back to work. I know I have to take it easy for a couple days but for crying out loud i have been resting for a week, I should be good and rested.I sure hope doc doesn't intend on keeping me on the 15 mg dose of Coumadin. I asked her this morning how high they could go on the dosage and she told me as high as we need to to get me therapeutic and keep me there.Hope everyone is well and please keep sending me your good vibes.Hugs and Luv Ferr

Hi
You must be getting very frustrated with all the sitting around given your active nature, but remember it\'s necessary for you to make a good recovery, so as my mum used to say (still does) does as you\'re told!!!
Glad to see that your INR is rising but it looks as if you will need a high dose for a while. I take 7/8mg every day to stay therapeutic, so 15 seems a lot but hopefully you will settle a lower level.

Here\'s hoping you get that sleeep in you\'re own bed and the dog cuddle.

Hugs and best wishes andy

Hi- I will be praying that you are home and back working soon. My husband has been on coumadin for years. His INR goes up and down. At the moment he is on 8 mg. a night. 15 mg is a lot, but your doctor is being progressive in bringing up to to the level that is needed. It can be frustrating, but hang in there. And also I pray you are back in your very own bed very soon. Hugs and love to you
