Slowly reaching my goal.

I have decided to stop surviving and start living again, and it is working just great! I make definite decisions about what I need to or can do, and what not. Taking care of Colleen will always be my first priority, the rest can wait. So when I'm tired or don't feel well, it is my decision to take care of myself, and let the non-essential things wait till the next day. Now I don't feel guilty about the things I didn't get done anymore. I also don't feel so extremely depressed about being stuck in this house permanently, because it is my choice to take care of Colleen to the best of my ability. I don't regard it as my duty anymore, but as my privilege to be able to love her and care for her. At the moment she is my main reason for being alive and well. And this makes me feel really good about myself!

I love seeing that bright green smiley face on your profile. You are so right in not worrying about things that don\'t get done today. Most things can wait and be done some other time. Taking care of Colleen and taking care of yourself is paramount. Enjoy the time you have with her now and don\'t worry about the things that really don\'t matter. Hugs, Dan

I am happy you are at a peaceful place in your life again. You are very right that the non-essential things can wait. I do the same in my situation. And I find that I\'m happier because I\'m not stressing about unimportant issues. Enjoy your time with Colleen my friend !

Many warm hugs, Patricia :-)
