Slow Month Businesswise

in December.  I do videography, photography and editing, weddings mostly at this point.  Nobody's got any money around Christmas, so it's quite normal that no one gets married this time of year.  A few straggling low-budget parties and a "life story" video I shot and edited for $100 (whoopie).  Dealing with a low-budget slug-head photographer, whom I unfortunately subcontract under, who is quite unorganized in the sense that he calls me in a panic to do something, doesn't give me any info about it, where it is, etc., cries to get my price down, runs up a tab with me, then takes his sweet time paying, 'cuz he's already spent the money to pay his own bills.  Lousy businessman, and a lousy human being.  Miserable slug.  Because I'm having a slow month, I'm letting him pull his usual bullshit.  Next month, I collect, in cash, and don't take on any new work from him.  I would really like to tell people like this to go f...ly a kite.  I would like to not need their money.  But the fucking recession is still on, even steady, low-paying jobs are scarce, and beggars can't be choosers.  Almost makes me want to spend the money and advertise myself, but I really don't want to deal with obnoxious brides and their wacky families.
Cover art is almost up for selling my Civil War epic film on amazon.com createspace!  Given some additional marketing funds, the film could net me tens of thousands of additional dollars per year.  It's a very good film, is very well shot and edited, and really makes history come alive!  Can't wait to see what happens, and, when a few bucks trickle in, figure out an additional marketing blitz targeted at schools and museums.
