Sloow Down

Dad is being mean.  It's been a long time since he's done this.  He criticizes and shames. I am feeling caught up in T's new world, he said welcome to my high pressured world I said no. I have his truck.  My mechanic could not repair my car, it is rare and expensive. I am tired of feeling obligated - I want to give out of overflowing not out of a sense of obligation.  I'd rather let it go afer a couple weeks.  I like having the truck, I like the company of T's son he is a treasure, and T is pretty cool, it's just drama and stress. I made a list of my needs last night, and it is up to me to take care of them.  My past was self neglect to the point of needing rescue.

that sound excellent that you made a list of needs - it s always good to write things down on paper - its makes things far more clearer - you are a very self aware and emotionally intelligent woman which will stand you in good stead.

I can so relate to you, my needs were neglected as a kid too. I love the fact that you know you have to take care of yourself now though! I need to learn that too... I can do the in a broad sense but not in an independent sense....
