Sleepless in Ohio

I don't know about all of you but I been having the hardest time trying to get to sleep these days. I think I am tired so I go to bed only to find out I can't Sleep ! I tried all kinds of remedies but I don't want to take drugs to get to sleep.           I am not stressed about anything that isn't out of the ordinary ,if I tell the doctor than he wants to give you drugs, they are the biggest drug dealers out there. So I tried warm milk,Melatonin,Valerian Root-------- doesn't work on me? If any of you have an Idea ,Please let me know , I am really tired and don't want to get sick from not having enough sleep.......... or is it an old age thing ?           We all have these days but mine are everyday,is this happening to you ? I Miss Penny more everyday , could that be it ? I feel like a robot walking around, sometimes I forget what I was going to do or get ? I know this can't go on , I guess if I get tired enough I might just fall asleep ? I hope all of you are getting the correct rest because it takes a toll on your mind and body....... please help.                                                                            Love you All,                                                                        Sleepless in Ohio

Grief is an enemy of sleep or it could be the one thing that causes sleep...but, I take xanax and it works very well. When I wasn\'t taking xanax (which is habit forming) I would drink Sleepy Time tea by Celestial Seasonings or Tension Tamer by Celestial S. I have no other formula...maybe reading but when I would get sleepy my head would hit the pillow and my eyes would spring open! So...I don\'t know. I hate to hear when someone is taking Ambien because I know several people, including my son who had a sleep like amnesia while taking it. It can also induce suicidal ideations....something that haunts me along with the use of anti-depressants. I do hope you can get some relief. It is a terrible thing to have insomnia. God help you. Love and restful sleep.....dale, brandon\'s mom

I\'m at the age (in my 50\'s like you) where from what I\'ve read, sleep disturbances are common. Has something to do with our hormones being all over the place. Sometimes for no reason, I just can\'t sleep as well and then I blame it on hormones! Luckily I haven\'t had it that bad enough to have to take any measures to stop it. I hope you can find relief so you can sleep better. Must be pretty frustrating. Hugs, Donna

Hoping by now you have gotten some sleep. Think about you a lot and wish we could take one of your walks to the park together, it sounds so peaceful. Maybe some day - that would be nice. Truly your friend, BarbaraWawa
