Sleepy
I've been dozing most of the day. I'm so tired, dizzy, confused, and frustrated. Spent most of the night trying to get Foxy to eat and take her meds. She just lays around on the floor, moving from one place to another, occasionally sipping some water. I take her out and even after 30 minutes or so, she doesn't want to come back in, but I force her so I can keep an eye on her. I miss her waiting at the gate with her tail wagging, eager to come in. And, I miss her knowing that after the last trip of the day she'll get a treat just for laying at the gate and a second if she' on her feet, wagging her tail. The last trip has been the longest trip for the two of us. She seems to need more time and I get ready for bed while she's out there. So, when she comes in, there's a Pupperroni for her that she scarfs down, then she looks at me with her eyes asking where the second treat, usually a mini jumbone, is. During the summer months there's a piece of hard water(an ice cube) which means bedtime will be delayed until she finishes crunching it down. I've tried all kinds of food. She turned her nose up at her favorite food,,,bacon this morning. I opened a can of chicken that I use for salad and she hasn't come near it. It seems she's given up. She's 15 years old or so. Maybe its her time to go to heaven. I hope not. I need her so much. Maybe I'm selfish because I don't want our time together to end. I haven't eaten anything since last night. That and the lack of sleep has made it hard for me to get around the house. I don't want this to become a death watch. I don't think I could take that. Please, Foxy, eat something!!!!!

Foxy is loved family and her being ill is painful and even scary. You two have survived a lot together and are bonded. I just hope her health improves and the two of you have a long while yet to be family and share such wonderful love. It would be hard to imagine you without precious Foxy at your side. We have more than enough challenge and heartache coping at times without the pain of loss of one so close.
Gentle ((hugs)) to you and Foxy.
