Six weeks
It's not getting any easier. If I'm honest with myself, I'm just burying myself in TV series, watching maybe 3 episodes in one sitting. And when those episodes start getting depressing, I just feel sad and miserable.
I can't be bothered trying to cook food similar to what my daughter used to cook - I'm just not creative enough. I miss our shopping together, when she would buy interesting food to include in her cooking. I can't do it. I was in the supermarket yesterday and just bought the bare essentials. Meal times are no longer something to look forward to.
I've had one phone call from her but now she's not even on Facebook much. Her sister seems to have given up on facebook altogether and didn't respond to an email I sent her. I feel so isolated. I got so pissed off with Facebook and the lack of interaction from anyone that I went through and deleted all my status updates - it probably took about an hour. I had to refresh about 20 times for Facebook to show all the updates. You think you've finished but no - click on your page again and another 20 updates appear - ones that you haven't seen for maybe two years. Facebook don't make it easy.
I've left one post up - about a rally against the TPP "agreement". Not that my friends seem to give a shit. I had put up another one about the endangered status of seagulls - seagulls! Who commented? A male colleague who doesn't care about animals. No-one else cares, it seems. But then, do they even see the status updates? I often don't see others'. Facebook is selective. I'm starting to hate the site with a passion.
My brother rang last night. It was nice of him. Asking what I was doing this weekend (it's my birthday). I told him I was going (alone) to Wellington to see Bill Bailey (a British comedian). He was going to offer to come over and treat me. Again, nice of him but I've already got the ticket (which cost a lot). I almost don't want to go as it involves driving to Wellington, finding a car park, and driving back. I dislike Wellington - too many negative memories, but that's another story.
The weather doesn't help - cold, wet and windy. I always feel miserable when the weather is like that. I feel much better when the sun is shining.
So, feeling quite low.
