Sister-in-Law safely delivered to her home
She was in a lot of pain, but surprisingly good spirits, delighted to have the tumors out of her. She told me I could go home, said I wanted to be there with her, and she insisted I leave, that she just needed some "girl time". Felt a bit rejected, but tried not to take it personally, just calmly, quitely smiled and said "OK...whatever you want". That's probably the main thing, to put her in the driver's seat, put her in control of her own life, let her make her own decisions, which has been her problem in the past. My sister was there with her, and they seemed to have things under control. While I've always aodred my sister-in-law, I've kinda been an obnoxious asshole towards her at times in the past, because of her flippid attitude toward finances and tendency to go with the flow and say "it's OK" and sweep problems under the rug...we've had our share of more-than-mild disagreements, and I don't blame her for not wanting me around at the moment, understand her not wanting any kind of potentially dark male energy around her at this time, needing only galpals. But I really love her...she's a sweetie. So they'll call me today if they need me. Trying to be a more loving, selfless human being...realizing just how fragile life is...memories of my dear, departed brother in the same kind of physical pain come flooding back when I see poor Donna in terrible pain...feels good to FEEL something toward somebody (been feeling kinda dead inside myself).
