Singles Outing!
Well, I made it over there... and had a GREAT time! I only stayed 3 hours because I had just fed the dogs and leaving them inside that long made me nervous, lol.
So as soon as I spotted my friend in the group, she was SO EXCITED! First thing she said was that she didn't know anyone, was feeling a bit nervous, and was so glad I showed up! Well, I guess showing up for a friend's moral support is an excellent way to meet people, lol.
There were about 30 people there, 10 of whom were men... it was a Christian Single Outing.... not that this was a problem, but I grew up in the church (half the family are ministers), so I'm not so sure that's something I want to be in much (I'm a bit burnt out).... but that being said, I did meet LOTS of nice people, did get invited to more group outings and I fully intend to participate in the ones that won't conflict with my other groups....
