Simply Not Sure

I'm somehow floating between for sure good & for sure not so good.
The vasculitis rash problem still marches on.  I can't really say in a way that there are true improvements cause it's really up and down and all around.  The biggest issue this time over yrs & yrs back is the itch.  Yrs back I never would of known there was anything going on if I couldn't see it.  I still have this nagging thought as to it being a reaction to something but how in the world to figure that out is still a mystery to me.  I thought I had an appt with my rheumy on Thurs but a schedule mix up on their end has dictated otherwise.  I see him the middle of May but his office told me that if things get too bad to call them.  The way I saw this is that it gives me that much more extra time to fix me naturally on my own so onward I go.  I'm going to relax deeply yoga on Tues mornings & my zumba dance class will be starting again in another wk & I will let nothing stop me from those & of course the cat shelter on Wed morning.  To me I feel that total health & wellness is abt more then just the physical & it has to include the emotional & spiritual also.
Hubby seems to be doing pretty well.  He's had one hormone treatment for his prostate issue & is blessed with not experiencing any real side affects.  He's looking after himself pretty carefully though & I do so admire him for that.  He's very much a realist I guess you could say & just takes each day for what it has to offer.
With my dad we almost really never really know what & how things are going with him.  He's not a communicator in that way & you just, well, never really know.  I guess I feel that the best I can do is make sure he knows we're available & well I guess thats it, I don't really know what more I can do.  I'll be honest here in that I haven't spoken with him this last wk but I've sort of been feeling that I need to focus on me right now.
Does anyone ever have times where you feel the need to pull away fr your family & the politics that so often can go with it.  We had a get together at a sister's house last weekend to celebrate both my dads birthday & my hubby's birthday.  It went quite well for all intents & purposes but it again reminded me of how different I am fr them on so many levels & it leaves me shaking my head.  I see so much self centeredness & in some ways selfishness & materialism that I have moments where I wonder if maybe they're more normal then I am & maybe I'm the one that's really off the mark in life.  Am I strange in that I can truly say if I still have the home possessions  & lifestyle I have now for the next how ever many yrs & don't have newer or fancier or better then I'm contented with that.  Am I the strange one in that an important focus for me is being the best I can be in a way that pleases the Lord & focusing on doing whatever I can in whatever ways I can to just simply do good in anyways I can.  Am I making any type of sense here????
Oh well life goes on right.  I think I'll sign off for now.

I can see how you would wonder if something was causing that rash all the time. That could really become like an OCD issue couldn\'t it? I could see myself thinking that way, anyway. It sounds like a good plan to try to work on it before the appointment, so I hope your plans, which sound excellent, work to lessen it.

It sounds like your husband is doing well and I can see why you admire him so! : )

Oh, wow, when I read the story about your family and how you wondered if they were more normal, because you are so different from them, wow, how interesting! I can relate to this so much. It makes sense to me! It reminds me when pastors say \"we are not of this world so no wonder we feel like aliens in it!\" And that\'s true, that IS how I feel.

You\'d think you\'d be on the same track as family, but uh, no. I think most ppl feel at odds with the lifestyle of others in their family. I know I do. I was just telling hubby recently how self absorbed a certain family member of mine is. How this person doesn\'t even see or consider for one moment how it might feel for your child (or loved one) to be away from you on a holiday. Instead I think this person is a bit ticked because I want to speak with my kid once a day. It frustrates me that others can\'t see the needs of others at all. You and I seem so plugged into that and others are so totally oblivious. It makes me shake my head also!

hang in there. I have this funny feeling that your rash is on the way out right now and that things are going to get better starting today! Please keep up the good work and enjoy that rumba dance class for me OK? lots of love, m

Hi! I can sure relate to what you\'re saying about family interactions. How can we (human beings) be so much alike and so different all at the same time? I like what you focus on as important in life, versus material things. You have the right idea! And we can\'t take it with us anyway, so I am for concentrating more on the spiritual and less on the physical aspects of life. That\'s what lasts forever.
Love you and where your head is at!
Hugs and love and blessings!
