Simple Sunday
Caught in-between... there is so much to do, but none of it can be done today. The house is being tested for radon (a standard inspection practice), so we can't have the doors and windows open for long periods of time. That means no more packing and moving stuff out of there until Monday afternoon, which is also when my required county inspection is scheduled.
That means that between now and 4/27 (closing day), today will most likely be my one quiet, simple day.
It's weird. I want to rush over to the homestead and continue to get things done, but I can't. I'm also thankful for one last simple Sunday before the tide of activities is loosed and the homestead is no longer my own. Once it is officially sold, I will be a bird-brain without a nest. Jeff and I are so thankful his mom is letting us stay with her in the interim. She's an amazing person, and I love her sooooo much... but I'm going to want my own place as quickly as possible.
That said, Jeff goes on a buying trip to Atlanta at the end of May. The soonest I could expect to be in my new home is most likely end of June. And, it feels a so far away from me...
Coming back to the present moment, however... I realize it's a lovely day. Quiet. Simple.
