Signs - love them!
I hope this is an inspiring entry. Today Barbara posted on FMO an entry from CorysMom entitled "Thoughts" It was about the song by Bob Marley, "Don't Worry, Be Happy". When I read that I got chills because the day Eddie passed after seeing the Coroner take my beloved son, my only child, my baby Eddie away in a body bag, I went into his apartment with my DIL and took some of his prized belongings, mostly pictures. I guess i took them because I needed something to hold onto. Many people including my grandchildren and caring friends & family had gone to my house & I had put several pictures on the dining room table when I arrived there so we could look at & touch them. After folks left I went to bed but of course couldn't sleep and was crying & sobbing.
Ken had gone into the dining room to clear off the table. He said, "You Ok?" I said, "No, I just wish the Lord would send me a sign to know Eddie's OK." Ken inadvertently bumped the side of a framed pic of my grandchildren that Josh & Christina had given Eddie for Father's day and it began to play, "Don't worry, be happy" from a recording in the frame! On the worst day of my life I knew he was OK!
I had forgotton about this until I read CorysMom's entry. Thank you Peggy! Thank you Barbara! Thank you God. Love you, Ed!
