Side-swiped By Life
Well, I am back. Life is so full of unexpected twists and turns it is almost ludicrous. If things didn't look so bleak, I would laugh. My personal problems are nothing compared to my beloveds. He has been diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer and it doesn't look good. We were supposed to see the oncologist today but the weather is too bad to get out. Our car just breathed it last and for all intents and purposes has passed on. My son is snowed in and can't get out to take us so re-scheduled for tomorrow. Dennis is about out of pain meds and I feel terrible I did not try to make it to the Dr.s but I do not want to land in a ditch and freeze to death. Or the kids to wreck the only transportation we have. I sure am whiny today. We will get through this, as we always do, because what else can we do? Swallow hard and soldier on is the only course I know. (Damn genes.) I would prefer to go to bed, pull the cover over my head, and pretend that nothin's happenin' here, folks, move along. Nice dream anyway. Enough for now.
