Signs
This week has been a rough one here at Head Start (my work) as you know. Matt's passing has hit home for me (not to make it about me but it does trigger). He & my son were close in age. Matt was 36 when he passed and Ed was 37. Life can be cruel. Lots of tears...
My other co-worker, Dave, his mom passed away Monday from a heart attack which was a complication from Lupus that she had suffered with for years. Dave is a bit older than my son would have been had he lived so I am hurting for Dave & knowing how strong his bond was with his mom. The funeral was today. I didn't make it because I had a doctor's appointment this morning but my pulse & blood pressure was so elevated that my doctor wouldn't let me leave until it came down. I explained that 2 co-workers had just lost significant people in their life and I was stressed from that, but she insisted I stay until my bp & pulse normalized, which it did. Whatever, doc, lol!
It came down & I arrived here to a bunch of co-workers who are grieving too. I brought in chocolate for everyone. To heck with the waistlines today!
I received a sign yesterday that I will journal about when I have time so I can do the story justice. I think it will touch you. Ok, back to work now, although I think most of us are pretty useless today.
Thank you all for your support.
Love and peace, Linda

So many triggers, of course it\'s a hard time. Death so visible in the midst of life. Chocolate sounds like just the thing! There is no why or wherefor, we all suffer, us humans, with the shortness and irrational way of death. My girl friend says: \"None of us are getting out of here alive.\" her parents died young so she knows what she is talking about. It just makes the rest of us, the alive ones, more precious in our lives. love, and sorry, Abby
Holding close in thoughts and sympathy are ...
... Dearest Matt, Jill, their daughter & son, his parents & sisters, and all who called him family & friend.
... As well as Dave, family and friend grieving the loss of his beloved Mom.
Linda love, YOU are seated in my heart with your sonshine Ed and sweet Ken ... hope you feel my love from afar, as you move through this tender time.
This is a hard time for all of you at your work and especially for the families of those that lost their loved ones. This life is so cruel. So many loved ones pass away. I\'m praying for the families of your co-workers and for you. Yes it\'s very understandable your BP would be elevated. Love to you Linda and your family and especially to Ed. Terry
So much loss...hugs to you and love and prayers for you and all your coworkers and their families..
I love you
Dear Linda, there is so much sadness in this world and my heart goes out to you and to your coworkers and families. It\'s a blessing that Matt had a loving family to be with him and that his wife has colleagues like you who deeply understand what she\'s going through. But it\'s all so hard. Love to you, Ken, and, always, Ed.
Thinking of you dear Linda and all that touches your heart and is felt so deeply. Each of us needs more friends like YOU.
Loving care as you continue on and feel all that you need to.
Gentle hugs,
Joanie
