Should I try to return to work??
I am feeling very anxious over these last couple of days. My employer is expecting a definite answer as to whether I will be returning to my job on June 13. My ob-gyn has me out of work until June 29. My neuro has me out until June 11, but that is not a definite; I have a f/u with her on June 13.
I don't know if I should try to be a trooper and fight this disease and try to go back to the way my life was. I don't know what the future is going to be like because I had no idea what "MG" was before I had an excerbation (as the drs called it) only about 6 weeks ago and experienced symptoms for only a couple of weeks before I was admitted to the hospital and started on prednisone and ivig at the same time. I feel better in the sense that I no longer see double and can swallow my food and breathe better; but I am by no means back to my old self. I also don't know if being on a high dose of steriods is why I am able to function the way I am and what will happen if I stop taking the steriods?
The only thing that I am pretty confident of is that I can function well as a mom and wife. I am also pretty confident if I return to work I will be just as good of a paralegal as I was before. Question is, can I manage both?
