Should have seen it coming...

Followed up on my aunt's life insurance policy today.  Turns out that I am not a beneficiary.  And I'm out $4K.  Unless, of course, I get any $ from the RSP, but who knows.
I know, in her mind, she wanted to benefit those closest to her & that's great.  But she sure wasn't thinking about who the heck was going to bury her.  The $, I think, is going out to her best friend in California.  Who wasn't even there when she was dying & didn't have to do the legwork in her death.  Not that she could have, since she wasn't related. 
Not that it's all about the $.  It's not.  I would just like to break even.  And I Know I did the right thing.  But now my financial hole is deeper because of this.  Arg.
I hope the RSP works out.
